Robert Valentine Ievers Sergeant Navigator Observer 1126184, Royal Air Force of 418 Squadron Fighter Command at RAF Ford, Sussex
Born 1921 to John and Ellen Campbell Ievers of Ballywalter County Down
Missing on operations 30 November 1942 aged 21 years.
He was part of a crew of three flying in a Boston III Z2165 which took off at 8-30 pm from RAF Ford, Sussex on an Intruder and Leaflet Sortie to the Thourout and Roeselare Areas Belgium which was occupied by the Germans. The plane failed to return and the crew were reported missing later changed presumed killed on the 30th. The crew were never found

The other two members were
John Joseph Graham Chabot. Warrant Officer Class 2 R/69145 Wireless Operator/Air Gunner and Merton Ralph Lockwood Pilot, Warrant Officer Class 2 R/87408 both of the Canadian Air Force

Commemorated on a family memorial in Whitechurch Graveyard, Ballywalter County Down Northern Ireland also on the Runnymede Memorial, Surrey
