- SHARD Robert Nathan. DFC DFM Flight Lieutenant 155256, 78th Squadron, Royal Air Force (VR), missing on the 16th February 1944 aged 23. He was the son of Sidney and Florence Muriel and he was the husband of Vera Joyce of Faringdon, Berkshire.
He is commemorated on a family memorial in Knutsford Cemetery, Cheshire and also on the Runnymede Memorial, Surrey.
