Robert McKEAG. Sergeant Air Gunner 1522883, Royal Air Force, with 50 Squadron stationed at RAF Skellingthorpe, Lincolnshire
Son of Robert and Agnes McKeag of Belfast.
He was part crew of seven in an Avro Lancaster ED755 VN-Q. The Mark III bomber which left Skellingthorpe for a night raid over Berlin, Germany. The plane was attacked and it came down near Crashed Neuruppin, north-west of Berlin
Commemorated on his parents’ headstone in St Mary’s Churchyard, Comber, County Down, Northern Ireland. At rest in Berlin 1939-1945 War Cemetery, Germany, formerly of West Berlin which was surround by the Soviet Military.
