Funeral of -

Robert McCOMB. Private 24289323, Ulster Defence Regiment. Born 6 August 1950, resided in Denmark Street, Belfast. Abducted by Irish Republican Army as he walked home after an evening out at a local pub in Belfast, with his girlfriend. His body was found five hours later at 5.30am in Kerrera Street, Ardoyne, West Belfast, Sunday 23 July 1972, he had been shot. His hair had turned grey and he had been tortured before he was shot. He was single and off duty at the time of his abduction and murder. He was 21 years old.

At rest in Roselawn Cemetery, Ballygowan Road, Crossnacreevy, County Down.
