he married July 1912 at Dover, Kent Gladys Louise Edwards later of 11, Grove Avenue, Twickenham, Middlesex
His father was Colour Sergeant 14541, Royal Irish Rifles stationed at Victoria Barracks, Belfast.
Served in the great war, enlisted 8 October 1914 discharged 13 August 1817 due to senility.
Brother of Walter Percy who also fell.
1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 24 Bog Road, Pottinger, County Down.
London Gazette dated 27 July 1915. The undermentioned Warrant and Non-commissioned Officers to be Second Lieutenants, for service in the Field. The Royal Irish Rifles, Quartermaster-Serjeant Robert J. O'Lone. Dated 20th June 1915. Promoted to Temporary Captain 26 September 1915.
Killed in action on the Western Front 11 November 1915 aged 31.
12 April 1917 war gratuity granted to Sergeant John O’Lone and Harry Ralph O’Lone revised for both 25 September 1919.
