Robert George McCLAY. Private 8954, 1st Royal Irish Fusiliers. Born in 1889 in Londonderry, Ireland, enlisted into the army 4th February 1907 and was by occupation a shop porter. He was the son of Robert George who was granted a war gratuity 12th October 1909. In 1901 aged 12 he lived at 25 Fountain Hill Waterside Londonderry with his father, mother Maggie and his six siblings. Died 10th September 1909 aged 20

At rest in Pembroke Military Cemetery, Malta.P6/R6/G1.
