Corporal 389 Robert GEEVES, 10th Brigade, Royal Artillery. Born 1836 at Woolwich Kent to Richard Lumley and Hannah Geeves nee Patchem. 1841 residing with parents and siblings at Penspool Lane, Bexley. 1861 stationed at Horfield Barracks, Horfield, Gloucestershire as private, age 27 years and single. 1871 now stationed at Fort St Angelo, Malta with his wife Lucy Amelia, nee Lane and a son who was born in Malta 1871.
He fought at Balaclava and Inkerman during the Crimean War. He died 12th April 1872 aged 35 years and 7 months, cause not known. Leaving a widow and two children to deplore his passing.

His wife was born in 1843 at Newbridge, County Kildare, Ireland and passed away 30 April 1930 in Sheffield.
