Born 1 July 1895 at Bellevue, Holywood to David and Rebecca Beverland, nee Carlisle.
1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 5 Esplanade, Holywood, County Down.
1911 with his parents and siblings at 6 Seaview Street, Holywood.
Killed in action on his birthday at the battle of the Somme, 1 July 1916 aged 21.
His father was granted a war gratuity 2 May 1917. His mother was granted a war gratuity 23 July 1920
Commemorated on a family headstone in Holywood Cemetery, Holywood, County Down.
At rest in Mill Road Cemetery, Thiepval, France
