Died 1 May 1915 aged 33

Son of John and Elizabeth Bloomfield, of Bracklone Street, Portarlington, Co Laois, Ireland.

At rest at Shrewsbury Cemetery, Shropshire.

Some notes from what remains of his army record. He enlisted on the 16th November 1914 at Maryborough aged 32. He gave his occupation as a wireman, and home address at Bracken Street. On the 1st May 1915 between 1 and 2 am at his billet, 13 Hotspur Street, Greenfields. He received at fatal injuries through falling downstairs at his billet resulting in a fractured skull. No other persons were involved.
