Sergeant Raymond Vivien DANIELS No. 404603 Royal Australian Air Force. Operational Training Unit. RAF Cottesmore, Rutland.
Died 25 March 1942 aged 27. Laid to rest 30 March 1942.

Sergeant Daniels was on a night navigation sortie. Also on board were Sergeant A W Westgate No. 403630 New Zealand, Sergeant B Noseworthy No. 798569 Canada, Sergeant E J Biddulph No. 778576 South Africia. They were the crew of Handley-Page Hampden P5398 which took off from RAF Cottesmore on a night navigation sortie. At 2110 the aircraft plunged into the ground and caught fire at Whittle Farm, Brockhampton, 5 miles east of Cheltenham. All were killed.

Son of George Jeremiah and Florence Amy Daniels of Nanya Siding, Queensland, Australia.

At rest at Little Rissington St Peter Churchyard, Gloucestershire.
