Polly JEPSON

Polly JEPSON. Worker 2268 Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps died from the affects of war service (meningitis) in France on the 9th November 1918 aged 23. She was born on the 7th March 1895 and baptised at St Peter, Gildersome, Yorkshire on the 1st March 1896. Daughter of George and Eliza Ann. Native of Morley, Yorkshire. She enlisted on the 21st August 1917 and was discharged medically unfit for duty on the 10th May 1918. Awarded the War Badge, number B9114 in September 1918. She was also married in the September Quarter 1918 at Mansfield to Albert Johnson. Commemorated on her parents memorial at Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and may have been laid to rest along with her parents.
