PFC Charles A. Cleaves, US Army

Chuck enlisted in the US Army in January 1941. When the 101 Airborne was formed in 1942, he volunteered and became a paratrooper. He was with the first units to parachute in France 5-6 June 1944. Chuck was listed as MIA during the Battle for Bastogne, then reclassed as KIA. Chuck was found aline in Belgium at the end of the war. I have no idea how he got there or how he survived. Chuck is buried In Arlington National Cemetary, along with his wife, Peggy.
