Born 24 February 1908 at Lewisham, London to Edward and Muriel Ethel Kenward. Married in 1932 to Elizabeth Kemp-Welsh at at St Margaret's, Westminster. He was of the 14/20th Kings Hussars. Remmaried 23 August 1947 at Marylebone, Middlesex to Patricia Monsell.
