Peter Sellers, best known as one of the Goons and for playing Clouseau in The Pink Panther films, was a corporal in the Royal Air Force ground staff. His tour included India and Burma. He also served in Germany and France after the war. Sellers joined the Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA). By the end of the war in 1945, more than four out of every five British entertainers had worked for ENSA, whose focus was on boosting morale of soldiers and factory workers.
