MERRITT Percival Charles. Private, 568, 11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Died of enteric fever, on the 26th October 1915, aged 30 years. He was the son of Mr. J.A.F. and Ann Merritt, of Clarendon, South Australia
Some notes from his army record. He enlisted on the 3rd September 1914 aged 29. He was a miner and lived at 13, Wilson Street, Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. He embarked from Freemantle, Western Australia on HMAT A11, Ascanius on the 2nd November 1914. He is also commemorated on a family memorial in Kangarilla Cemetery, South Australia (Headstone inscription reads 'For King and Country'). Parents - Mr F. and Mrs Ann MERRITT, Clarendon, South Australia. His brother Private 2944 Sydney Laurence, 13th Field Ambulance was killed in action 26th April 1918 and he is at rest in Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery, France. "To live in the hearts of those we love, is not to die."

DAVISON Ernest. Driver, 66763, 10th Battery, Royal Field Artillery, died 27th October 1915. Born at Eccleshall, Staffordshire.

ROBERTSON Colin . Private, 1875, 1/2nd Lowland Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps, died 28th October 1915, aged 23 years. He was the son of Robert and Mary Ann Stevenson Robertson, of Orchard Street, Galston, Ayrshire. "In life we loved you ever dear. In death we do the same."
