Panzernest- was small bunker for machingun, built by Germans during WW2. This Panzernest was located in beach in Kolobrzeg and have number 28. Now is renovated and preserved in Museum in Kolobrzeg

The first time I ever heard of these was in an article by modeller Steve Zaloga in 'Military Modelling' magazine. I certainly wouldn't want to be stuck in one all alone, facing an oncoming enemy. Apparently they were fitted with periscopes and a ventilation system, but to get air, you had to use a foot pedal.... as well as trying to fight!
