Extended Description
BULL, George Parker Captain, 4th North Staffordshire Regiment died of Empyema at Cape Colony on the 11th June 1902 aged 32. He was Commanding Officer of the Beaufort West, and he is buried in a (Beaufort West Cemetery), in The Old Anglican Cemetery, Blythe Street, South Africa. He was the son of John James and Eliza Emma M nee Parker (she died in 1898 aged 54 in Falmouth) of Marlborough House, Falmouth. He was educated at Cheltenham College, Gloucestershire. His father was Colonel of the 56th of Foot .
FANE, Ralph Nevile Captain 4th North Staffordshire Regiment, died of pneumonia at Wynberg, Cape Colony on the 27th May 1900 aged 30. He was the younger son of Colonel Francis and Elizabeth Fane, of Fulbeck, educated at Wellington in 1891 he was living with his widowed mother Elizabeth Chowne at 33 Park Street, new Windsor, Berkshire and he was listed at Militia Officer, (Lieutenant) .
SHARPE, James Minot Lieutenant, 4th North Staffordshire Regiment died 21st February 1902 aged 20 at Carnarvon, he was the son of James and Rosena Sharpe of (1891 census) 41, Fulborough Road, Kensington London. His father was Clerk, Civil Service, War Office.
GROCOTT, S R Sergeant 3808, 4th North Staffordshire Regiment died 10th December 1900 at Deefontein .
LOOSKAN, J Lance Sergeant (Corporal) 4551, 4th North Staffordshire Regiment died 26th March 1900 in Cape Town .
HURD, G Corporal 2997, 4th North Staffordshire Regiment died 25th June 1900 at Johannesburg (COBW have him with the 2nd Bn) .
BICKLEY, W Lance Corporal 4361, 4th North Staffordshire Regiment died 24th April 1902 at Carnarvon .
INSKIP, A Lance Corporal 3279, 4th North Staffordshire Regiment killed 25th June 1901 in Richmond .
TITTERTON, H Private, 4th North Staffordshire Regiment. (He is not listed with the COBW but is listed on another well known site that also hold military information) .
