North Africa 1942

This watercolour always hung in the study of Col. J M Maxwell, Australian Army. He served in North Africa with the Staffordshire Yeomanry (1943). Any information about the tank (?), unit or artist would be appreciated.
The signature in the lower left reads: "TPR. R. N. BRITTON, A SQN. 2AT BN. 1942".
Many thanks

Well it is a Matilda tank and a great painting too. I will try and find a little more about the regiment owner and artist later when i return from work
