NEWSTEAD George

NEWSTEAD George, Bombardier 54100, 63rd Battery, Royal Field Artillery. He died on the 29th August 1916 aged 27 whilst a prisoner of war in Turkey. He was the son of John and Charlotte Elizabeth of 68, Lenton Boulvard, Nottingham City. He is commemorated on a family memorial in Eastwood Cemetery, Nottinghamshire and he is laid to rest in North Gate War Cemetery, Baghdad, Iraq.
