Extended Description: CARNE Maxwell Halford. 2nd Lieutenant, 2nd, Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry. Died of his wounds, 23rd December 1916, age 26 years. The son of Henry and Agnes M. Carne, of Carnbrea, Kings Avenue, Parkstone, Dorset. Born in Finchley, London. (Wills and Admin, Ancestery.co.uk) He lived at Carnbrea, Landsowne Road, Finchley, Middlesex and died on the 23rd December 1916 at Tigne Military Hospital, Malta.

At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta. Plot D Row XVII Grave 1
