Maxton BROWN. Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. 2nd Lieutenant 729411. United States Army Air Force, 515th Bomber Squadron, 376th Bomber Group, Heavy, stationed at RAF Ta Kali, Malta. Born 1915 in California to William and Mabel Brown, nee Pryor. 1920 residing with his parents and siblings at Copper Basin Road, Yavapai, Ariaone. 1930 with his parents at 3rd Street, Oceanside, San Diego, California. At the time of his death his parents were residing at Box 318, Palm Road, Garland, California. Killed in action over Sicily 8 July, from the result of anti-aircraft fire.

Laid to rest in Capuccini Naval Cemetery 9 July 1943 in Plot E. Grave 21.
Repatriated by US personnel about Oct 1945 to Italy and laid to rest Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial, Lazio, Italy
