Market Garden Trip

During Nov./Dec 2002, my son David & I travelled to The Netherlands to visit some of the 'Operation Market Garden' sites.
This is the view from the 25-pounder gun platform memorial, from where the airborne 6-pounder was firing blind from between the houses that were here at the time of the battle, at enemy on the bridge.

Great photo of the bridge. Looking around now no one could imagine what it was like in the battle. My uncle was one of the last gun crew to leave the bridge.
