Market Garden Trip

During Nov./Dec 2002, my son David & I travelled to The Netherlands to visit some of the 'Operation Market Garden' sites.
This is Airborne Plein in Arnhem, which commemorates the battles here and situated at the north end of Arnhem Bridge, between the on and off ramps. The pillar was part of the nearby Palace of Justice, destroyed in the battle and is enscribed with the date, '17 September 1944'.
