Margaret (Madge) Neill FRASER. Nurse VAD. Scottish Women’s Hospital attached to the French Red Cross

Born on 4 June 1880 to Patrick Neill Fraser FRSE and Margaret.
1891 residing with her parents and siblings at Rockville, Glasgow Road, Edinburgh, Scotland. 1905 employed as a golfer.

Captain of the Scottish Ladies golf team. Died of typhus while nursing in Kragujevatz, Serbia 8 March 1915. At rest in Chela Kula Military Cemetery in Northern Serbia CWGC

Following extract from The British Journal of Nursing dated 20 March 1915, page 237 -
We regret to record the death of Miss Madge Neill Fraser, a well-known lady golfer, who went with the St. Andrew’s Ambulance Association to work in the above hospital (Scottish Women’s Hospital, Serbia as nurse and chauffeur.
