Lloyd John Owen

LLOYD John Owen, Private 46960, 2nd Canterbury Regiment N.Z.E.F. killed in France 29th September 1917 aged 34. Son of Benjamin Dyke and Ann Thistle Lloyd. Prior to enlistment he was a chauffeur and his next of kin was his sister Miss A Lloyd of 19 Albion Street, Hyde Park, London. He embarked on the 26th April 1917 from Wellington, New Zealand bound for Plymouth, England on ship Pakeha He is Commemorated on his parents memorial at Ampney St Peter churchyard, Gloucestershire and is buried at Ypres Reservoir Cemetery Belgium. [Note his place of death is stated on his parents memorial as killed in action in France]
