Extended Description
Lindsay Gordon CUBBINS. Air Mechanic 2nd Class 2494, Australian Flying Corps died 14th August 1918 aged 21. He was born on the 19th June 1897 to James and Jessie Cubbins, of 24, John Street, St. Kilda, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. His next of kin lived in Franklin Tasmana. At rest in Leighterton Church Cemetery, Gloucestershire.
Some notes from his army records.
He joined up on the 29th October 1917 aged 20 and 4 months, occupation, motor trimmer, home address, 24 Hohn Street, South St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia. He was admitted into the AFC Hospital ( Cottage Hospital), Tetbury, Gloucestershire on the 11th August 1918 and died of Hematemesis and Appendicitis on the 14th August 1918.
