WAREHAM Lewis Harold. Petty Officer. Motor Mechanic, F/2117, Royal Navy Air Service , Dardanelles, Armoured Car Division, died 1st October 1915 at Malta. He was born on the 17th December 1884 at South Norwood, Surrey, occupation prior to enlistment was a musician. Son of Frederick William and Anna of 21 Enmore Road, South Norwood, Croydon, occupation, violinist. His father was his next of kin and he was living at 26 Black Horse Lane, Croydon. His birth name was Lewis Harold and he was baptised on the 5th February 1884 at Saint Michael and All Angels, Croydon, Surrey. He enlisted on the 18th November 1914 and posted to HMS Pembroke III and left on the 31st November 1915. His next ship was HMS President II from 1st April 1915 to 1st October 1915 On the 1st October 1915 he died of enteric fever at Military Hospital, St Georges, Malta.
BLACK William. Private, 10/280, Wellington Regiment, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, died of enteric fever, 2nd October 1915. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Black, of Spring Creek, Marton, New Zealand.
HOPKINSON Frank. Sergeant, 1697, Sherwood Rangers. Died of wounds 30th September 1915. He was born in 1893 to Joseph and Fanny Hopkinson, of 161 Newgate Street, Worksop. In 1911 he was living with his parents and siblings at 4. Vine Terrace, Newgate Street, Worksop. Occupation , pony driver at a colliery.
