Gunner 905808 Leslie HALEY. 501 Battery 137(A) (Blackpool Regiment) Field Regiment Royal Artillery, 11th Indian Division. Born 4 August 1920, resided at 2 Stoke Avenue, Blackpool. Enlisted 25 April 1939, captured 15 February 1942 at Singapore. He was involved in the construction of the “Burma Death Railway”
He was in the following seven P.O.W camps. Some of the names may be wrong.
1. Birdwood Camp, Changi, North East Singapore. 15 February 1942 - 20 June.
2. Ban Pong Interment Camp. 20 June – 11 July 1942.
3. Non Pladuk. 11 July – 3 October.
4. Wampoa. 3 October – 24 October.
5. Tasoa. 24 October 19 – 1 May 1944.
6. Tamuang. 1 May – 20 June 1944.
7. Pratchia. 20 June – 31 August 1945
