D777 Kenneth Stephen HUMPHRIES. Boy 1st Class JX899584 Royal Navy on aircraft carrier HMS Indomitable. Born 2 February 1936 at Eastbourne, Sussex to Margerita Mary Humphries. Died of his injuries Saturday 7th February 1953 aged 17 years as the result of an Avgas, (Aviation petrol) explosion on board his ship 3rd February 1953. The ship was carrying out exercises off Malta.
Plaque and base of headstone. "Remembrance of Kenneth Stephen Humphries. Pleased we found you from your mother Margarite Mary and bothers Raymond, Michael, Richard and Peter Pollard”.
At rest in Plot D Grave 777 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta
