Corporal Joseph ROBINS No. RMA/4190 RMHQ (Eastney) Royal Marine Artillery
Died 31 January 1915 aged 41 at Royal Marine Artillery Headquarters Depot Hospital, Eastney from cerbro spinal meningitis.
Son of George and Jane Robins, nee Hicks of Cambridge near Slimbridge, Gloucestershire . His was baptised at Slimbridge 1 March 1874 as Joseph William, birth record shows Joseph W Robins. Husband of Eliza Catherine Robins who he married 22 September 1899 in Pembroke, South Wales. In 1911 he was living with his family in married quarters at 60 Methuen Road, Eastney, Portsmouth. His wife and family later moved to Cambridge, Gloucester.
