IV.1B.01 RILEY Joseph Private 1293, 2nd Royal Warwickshire Regiment died on the 19th August 1914. Native of St Michael's Coventry. 1911 census show he was in the army aged 21 with the 1st Royal Warickshire Regiment stationed in India. Son of Edward and Rhoda of 11 Swanswell Place, Coventry. He enlisted on the 26th November 1908, occupation prior to enlistment was cycle case hardener.
IV.1B.01 ROWLES Frederick Private L12001, 2nd Middlesex Regiment died at 90 General Hospital, Imtarfa, Malta on the 24th August 1914 He lived at Reading, Berkshire, enlisted on the 24th September 1907. He was the brother of Ethel May Rowles who was granted a war gratuity the 30th January 1915. Revised on the 11th August 1919 now called Mrs Ethel May Lipscombe.
