Joseph COOK. Private 4147 2nd Hampshire Regiment. Died of wounds 16th May 1915 aged 28 . Born at Bethnal Green, London in 1887 to James Thomas and Amy Maria nee Farnish . In 1901 he was living with his parents at 11 Faith Street Bethnal Green and enlisted into the army at Finsbury Barracks, London. He was married on the 29th September 1906 at the St Simon Zelotes Bethnal Green London to Ellen Boxall . She was aged 21, spinster, cigar maker and lived at 29 Morpeth Street, Bethnal Green. He was aged 20 baker and lived at 28 Morpeth Street, son of James, biscuit maker. In 1911 he was living with his wife and children at 42 Punderson Gardens Bethnal Green London. His widow remarried on the 21st July 1918 to Albert Edward Cook her brother in law. At rest in Pembroke Military Cemetery, Malta. P1/R2/G5
