Private 52211 John William Edward CHAMP. 1st East Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action in France 11 October 1918 aged 19. Son of John William and Olive Champ, of Ward Hill, Caverswall, Stoke-on-Trent. Native Colton, Staffordshire. Stepbrother of Eustace Arblaster of Ward Hill Farm, Dilhorne.
Commemorated on his stepbrother's memorial in All Saints Churchyard, Dilhorne, Staffordshire.
At rest in Naves Communal Cemetery, Extension, Nord France.
