Died 1 August 1919
He joined the Gloucestershire Regiment at the Gloster’s Regimental Depot at Horfield, Bristol aged 31 27 April 1916, occupation farm labourer. He was posted to France 7 October 1916. Returned ill after serving 220 days in France. Medical Board held 8 April 1917 discharged from the army due exposure and strain on active service at St Quentin, France. It was recommended that treatment was required. Discharged 29 August 1917 to his home on South Cerney and died 1 August 1919 at his home. He was the son of Samson and Elizabeth Rosedale, nee Wicks who in 1891 were living at Ram Alley, South Cerney, Gloucestershire.
