John JENNINGS

Private 7097 John JENNINGS. C Coy, 1st Battalion, King’s Own Regiment. Born 1883 at Hulme, enlisted at Manchester on the 7th May 1902 and was a labourer prior to enlistment. He was accidentally shot on Pembroke Ranges, Malta 11 February 1903 aged 20 years . His mother, Mary, brother to George, Annie, Harriet, Alice, Susan, Sarah A, and William H, all were granted part of a war gratuity granted on the 3rd April 1903. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

Sorry to pick this up so late, just updating data etc. The Burial Register you refer to, is that the one held in Kew? We are struggling at the moment to get burial info, we have about 200 names with no burial locations and would love to place them somewhere in Pieta. Maltese records are ..........um, just say, a lot to be desired lol. Regards
