Extended Description: John Henry PYE. Sapper 148137 No.5 Wireless Section, Royal Engineers. Born 1892 to John Henry and Emma Elizabeth Pye of Warwick House, Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire. Died 28 November 1918 aged 26 in Iran. His father was granted a war gratuity 21 January 1920.

Commemorated on his parents’ headstone in Chapel Cemetery (part of) Moreton in Marsh Cemetery, Gloucestershire.

At rest in Tehran War Cemetery, Iran

Wills and Admin, Ancestry -
John Henry Pye (the younger) of Moreton in Marsh, died 28 November 1918 in Persia. His effects went to his father, engineer, £399 17s 1d.
