John Hawkshaw ABBOTT, born 11th March 1839, died 14th May 1888, aged 49 years, Army Service Corps. 1841 residing with his parents Thomas and Susana and brother William at Wheeler Street, Kirkgate, Leeds. 1871 residing with his wife Margaret, nee McCombie who he married 10 April 1863 at Leith, Scotland and child Christiana at 22 Anglesea Road, Woolwich Arsenal, Woolwich, Kent. Occupation, 3rd Class Staff Sergeant, Army Service Corps. 1881 he was residing with his children at Railway Street, Hampleton, Yorkshire. His wife was not in the house at the time of the census. His occupation, Chelsea pensioner.

His wife Margaret ABBOTT, nee McCombie. Wife of Staff-Sergeant John Hawkeshaw Abbott, Royal Army Service Corps. Born 1841 Scotland, married on the 16 April 1863 at Leith, Midlothian, Scotland. In 1871 residing with her husband and daughter, Christiana aged 5 years at Anglesea Road, Woolwich Arsenal, Woolwich, Kent. She died in Malta 24th July 1872 aged 31 years, cause not known.
