Captain, John Hamer Clegg, 10th Manchester Regiment died of wounds 4th June 1915. He is commemorated on a family memorial in Wilmslow Cemetery, Cheshire and also on the Helles Memorial, Turkey

He formerly lived at Inglenook Frederick Street, Oldham, killed at the Gallipoli Peninsula whilst on military service. He was the husband of Ella
