- John Edward ELLIS. Private 2459, 1/5th Royal Welsh Fusiliers . died 16th January 1916 aged 20 in a hospital at Fishponds, Bristol, from wounds received at Sulva Bay on the 16th August 1915. Son of William Edward and Martha Ellis, of Fron Deg, Tophill, Bagillt. At rest in St Mary's Churchyard, Bagillt, Flintshire
