- John Edward DOVE. Petty Officer 2nd Class 181265 Royal Navy on HMS Albion. Born 26th June 1879 at Talland, Cornwall to Joseph and Sarah Ann nee Hoskin. Enlisted 21st August 1894, occupation prior to enlistment, fishing. Died 23rd May 1915 at Royal Naval Hospital, Malta from, caisson disease. (The bends) His widow, Mary Annie, nee Marshall lived West Looe, Cornwall Wills and Admin, Ancestry. His home address was Chapel Ground, West Looe, Cornwall and his effects went to his widow Mary Ann Dove . His naval record shows John Edward Dove which is his correct name. At rest in Plot B Grave 244, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
