DEWHURST John Edward. Private, 23967, 9th Battalion, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, died on the 21st November 1916 in a Military Hospital Malta from a illness contracted while in Salonika. He was born Blackburn on the 22nd December 1892 to John Edward and Ellen and was baptised on the 22nd January 1893 at St Thomas Church, Blackburn, Lancashire. In 1911 he was living with his father at 3, St Thomas Terrace, Blackburn and he was employed as a cotton weaver. His mother was not mentioned on the census and his father's status was married. He was the husband of Catherine who at the time of his death was living at 48 Ordnance Street, Blackburn.
CHARLTON, Samuel Frederick. Gunner, 81129, 67th Battery, 20th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, died 25th November 1916. He was native of Boston and enlisted at Grimsby, both in Lincolnshire. He was the son of Emma.
DOBSON George. Private, 8771, 1st Garrison Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers, died on the 29th November 1916 at Manoel Hospital, Malta. He was the son of Hannah.
