Corporal 24273213 John CONLEY, 5th County Londonderry Battalion.
At rest in Macosquin Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Englishtown, County Londonderry.

Source for the following Issue 28 The Troubles.
He was killed by 300 pound PIRA car bomb explosion while he was helping to evacuate civilians from the area, at Bridge Street, Garvagh, County Londonderry 23rd July 1974 aged 43. No warning was given but the UDR had been alerted.
He is commemorated on a tree memorial plaque at the UDR Memorial Ulster Ash Grove, National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.
