Extended Description: John Cecil Brandon IRWIN. Sergeant (Pilot) 951459 Royal Air Force (VR), 57th Squadron, RAF Feltwell. Flying a Vickers Wellington Ic R1589 Bomber
Born 1920 to George and Lucinda Anne Irwin of Craigavad, nr Holywood, County Down.
Took off 0001 3 July 1941 from Feltwell with a crew of five on a bombing mission to Essen, Germany. Crashed 0008 4 July 1941 at Larman's Fen off Southery Road Feltwell Norfolk. Larman's Fen all perished, he was aged 21
At rest in Holywood Cemetery, Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland.
