BULLOCK, John. 71016 405th Royal Defence Corps, formerly 3rd South Staffordshire Regiment died 5th November 1918. He is at rest in Wolverhampton Cemetery, Staffordshire. Some notes from what remains of his army record. He enlisted aged 42 on the 10th December 1915 and was posted to 405th Protection Coy, R.D.C., at Aldershot. He occupation prior to enlistment was a groom and he lived at 79, Compton Road, Wolverhampton. He was medically discharged on the 20th August 1915 due to bronchitis, which originally started in 1911. One common cause for this complaint is from grooming animals in this case horses.
