John Bertram Aubrey MARSDEN-SMEDLEY
Commander in the Royal Navy. Served in China on HMS MINOTAUR, 1913, on HMS LYDIARD, 1914-1915, HMS HARDY, 1917, and in Baltic on HMS VEGA, 1920

Born 24 September 1893 at Hanover Square, London to John Bertram Marsden-Smedley and Gertrude Mary nee Lea.
Died 23 August 1959 at Redleaf Nursing Home, Penshurst, Kent. He resided at 31 Draycott Place, London S.W.3. His effects went to Andrew Bethel Mardsen-Smedley, management consultant, Penelope Ann and Agatha Susan Marsden-Smedley, spinsters.

Commemorated on a family memorial at

Dethick, Lea and Holloway Cemetery, Derby.
