Born 1891 at East Rainton, Durham to David and Phoebe Ash, nee Gilbert. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 72 Elizabeth Street, Hanley, Stoke on Trent. 1911 with his parents and siblings at 29 Hannover Street, Hanley, occupation, coal pit loader.
1914 married Annie Elizabeth Amison at Stoke on Trent Registry Office.
Died at North Staffordshire Infirmary Stoke on Trent 2 November 1920 aged 28.
