John Anstee MARTIN. Sergeant 3504636, Royal Air Force stationed with 66 Squadron, RAF Linton-on-Ouse, Yorkshire. Born 12th October 1929 died at 11.50 am on the 20th June 1951 aged 21 near Manston Beacon Farm, Scalby, Yorkshire while flying a Gloster Meteor F. Mk8. registration number WA877. He was involved in an aerobatic exercise and then to practice Ground Controlled Approaches (CGA) to Linton airfield. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry). John Anstee Martin of 21 Claverton Street, Westminster died 20th June at the Linton on Ouse R.A.F.Station, Yorkshire. Administration London 21st September 1951 to Vera Blanche Martin, single woman. At rest in All Saints churchyard, Newton on Ouse, Yorkshire. YO30 2BL
