Son of Edith Fryer, of "Kingarth", 5 Moorside, Fenham, Newcastle-on-Tyne, and the late Maj. James Whaley Fryer.

Commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, France.

Commemorated on a plaque in St Margaret's Church, Hawes, Yorkshire.
