SUTHERLAND James. Private, 7543, 1st/5th Royal Scots Fusiliers. Died of dysentery on the 21st November 1915 at Malta, contracted whilst in action at Gallipoli. Born at Wick, Caithnesshire and lived in Glasgow. His widow, Elizabeth was granted a war gratuity on the 10th March 1916, revised on the 13th August 1919.
ROSS Duncan. Lance Corporal, 1012, 1/1st Highland Mounted Brigade, Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps. Died 20th November 1915 at Malta, from dysentery contracted at Suvla Bay, aged 22 years. Son of the Reverend R. and Julia Ross, of The Whins, Kenneth Street, Inverness. My precious Duncan, The spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
TUCKER Leslie Everard. Private, 2027, 10th Australian Infantry. Died of his wounds, 18th November 1915, aged 24 years. The son of James and Elizabeth Catherine Tucker, of Blyth, South Australia. Dearly loved son of Mr & Mrs J Tucker, Blyth, South Australia.
