Major 31009 James Stockley SINNOTT. 2nd Royal Gloucestershire Hussars Royal Armoured Corps killed in action near Halfaya Pass, North Africa, 24th November 1941 aged 35. Son of Col Edward Stockley Sinnott C.M.G, V.D., T.D., D.L., and Violet Carew Sinnott of Clifton, Bristol, husband of Marjorie, nee Kemble of Cirencester. Solicitor. Commemorated on his wife, Marjorie, memorial in St Swithin Church Cemetery, Quenington, Gloucestershire and on the Alamein Memorial, Egypt
